Ad-Vantage
53.25m
Ad-Vantage started as a temporary role for me but soon turned permanent, and it’s been the most enjoyable job of my 10 years in yachting. As a support yacht, the vessel itself is fairly straightforward, but the crew accommodation was excellent, I shared a spacious two berth cabin with the Chief Officer as Second Engineer. While there isn’t...
Hampshire II

An excellent program for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle, the crew do loads of sports both inside and outside of work. The standards are high across all departments and work can be intense during trips, but overall I enjoyed my time onboard. Strongly recommend if you're into health and fitness.
Samsara

The boat itself is great with good sized cabins, both a crew mess & lounge and 2 reasonable gym spaces for cardio and weights. The food was always incredible and the majority of the crew super lovely and outgoing . However it is hard to grow into leadership roles on there due to a lot of handholding and micromanaging.
Okto
66.4m
In 2019, I had the privilege of working as 2nd Stewardess on board M/Y Okto. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing the interior and managing the stewardess team. Maintaining Okto’s magnificent interior—renowned for its elegance and attention to detail—was both a challenge and an inspiration. Just as memorable as the yacht itself was the...
Dilbar

Was a good starting point for my first role and gave me valuable big yacht experience. Lot's of young crew so there's always plenty of people to do stuff with during time off. I was only onboard for a year so can't comment too much on upward mobility but I had fun during my time there.
Sophia
96.6m
I worked onboard Sophia when it was still M/Y Faith. With new ownership and crew I cant comment on the current work environment but as a vessel it is stunning. Fantastic crew accommodation, great crew mess and crew lounge, crew gym is basic but spacious for a yacht of that size. Easily the most stunning engine room I've ever seen...
Lady L
44.6m
I had the pleasure of working aboard the superyacht Lady L, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. We began on the West Coast of the United States and traveled down into the Caribbean, which made for an unforgettable journey. The crew dynamic was excellent—supportive, professional, and fun—which really set the tone for...
Scout

This is a really great boat that has a lot of perks. The large difference between leave packages for junior and senior crew can be a bit jarring but the atmosphere is great. The owners are particularly unusual in that they’re really inclusive and will make sure crew are invited on any excursions they go on.
Sea Pearl

Previously know as Secret during its charter days it was a fantastic programme. Apart from a reasonably small gym up in the Bosuns locker the crew amenities are pretty good and cabin storage space vast. Great tenders and toys to learn on if you’re starting out.
Air

Motor Yacht Air was a great first boat to work on. It has a cool, unique Hamptons interior. It was both Charter and private. On charter the days are long as most charter boats are, but off charter it was easy going. Crew were fun and we were always doing things on our days off. I think there was a high turn around with stewardesses but not sure if...
Dytan

I was on here while it was Flying Fox and the professional development program while I was onboard was really good for the deck crew. They invested heavily in qualifications which set me up for a great career.
Lonian

An extremely rare programme to have been apart of. The owners are lovely and make sure that the crew are very well looked after. Days off and crew activities were always something to look forward to with Hodor and the work hard play hard environment was the best I’ve come across. The crew gym is great, cabins vary in size but...
Sherpa

Crew areas are practical, and the deck setup with those massive cranes makes tender ops and gear handling easy. Guests love the rugged look and huge beach club – feels different from your usual white yacht. Runs smooth, great range for long trips, and plenty of space to work without feeling cramped. Would jump back on board in a heartbeat.
Sultana
29.6m
Working aboard the sailing yacht Sultana was a truly valuable experience. In the role of sole deck/stew/chef, I carried a wide range of responsibilities, which at times felt overwhelming, but it gave me the chance to learn and grow tremendously in all aspects of yacht operations. The yacht itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful design and...
Constance
46.33m
I spent a year onboard Constance and this will always be one of the most memorable itineraries and owner dynamics of my career. The owners were a fantastic couple. Kind, friendly and always keen to make sure the crew enjoy and experience the destinations visited. The boat was in fantastic condition despite being an older vessel. A great program...
Maybe

This is a nice boat if you want to stay in Spain and have a work life balance. Absolutely zero professional development or guest experience but you get your own cabin and can set up a semblance of a normal life in one place.
Ocean Dreamwalker III

I worked onboard ODW3 when it was still a relatively new boat. The cruising plans were great and we covered a lot of miles in the year I was working onboard. Since I left, the boat has continued to cruise around the world - as was always planned. The crew accommodation was comfortable however...
